Conkey's Tavern Fireplace Lintel - "William Conkey 1776"

From Conkie's Tavern, which stood in Pelham Hollow. Here, in 1786-87, Capt. Daniel Shays and his fellow Pelham citizens met to consider issues culminating in Shays' Rebellion. The Lintel is made of Pelham granite.
